are you allowed deodorant/aftershave etc

Toiletries of up to 100ml each in a clear plastic bag that can be sealed are OK. They give the bags out at the airport.

No changes of late:

Liquids, gels and aerosols are only allowed in individual containers of 100ml. All containers must fit comfortably in one, transparent, re-sealable bag no larger than 20cm x 20cm (eg a freezer bag).

Superdrug and suchlike are supposed to sell toiletries in the above sizes including Brut for the man who likes to smell fuckn good

not necessarrily, they dont in brussels charleroi or at madrid.

anyway as has been said you can take up to 1000ml of liquids though no one container can be over 100ml(this includes role on bo basher as well as spray stuff. it also includes toothpaste and pretty much every toiletry. it is likely you wont be allowed a razor on either. its best to shave before hand. you should note as well that even if there is less than 100ml in a 200ml container you wont be allowed on with it
