Ex Hearts players you would honour if they died tomorrow?

Quite a few Rangers fans laying scarfs and shirts at Parkhead today in memory of Tommy Burns.

Is there and living person who played for Hearts that you would travel to Tynecastle for and lay down a Hibs scarf in appreciation?

I've put my tin hat on. Robbo purely due to his sticking his head above the parapet during the Mercer affair. I appreciate that only.

Its hard to think of any that you have much regard for as players and people.

At a stretch I think Levein is a good player and manager and Robertson was a good striker. Would can either a "gentleman" though, would you.

Boot on the other foot are there any Hibs players who Yams would honour. Sauzee?

yes craig gordon, an outstanding keeper and scotlands number one for a good while and a good while to come.

to be honest though i dont think its as much a gesture of respect as a sign saying on this occassion individuals are bigger than rivalries.

it is after all only a game, something to many people forget

Tin hat on big style here - Jim Jeffries. While he may be a Jambo feck he always seems to be quite a decent and straightforward kind of guy.

IMHO only a minority of that lot love their club in the way a majority of our lot love ours.

Jeffries belongs to that minority of Yams and credit to him for that.

0-7, 6-2 & 5-1 must hurt the fat Yam..

Re: Ex Hearts players you would honour if they died tomorrow?

There have been several Hearts players I have admired for their footballing ability over the years, but none I would put an over the top tribute to outside their stadium. As someone else said, I think that whole thing is all done for show and it has been that way ever since the Diana thing.

I admired John Robertson as a fantastic goalscorer which he was, Craig Levein was a superb defender. I don't mind Jim Jefferies either, he is a passionate Hearts man but has also proved himself to be a decent manager.
