I haven't seen the game but judging by the furore which has been created on the BBC and even on the Bounce I would suggest that this is just McCurry's parting shot, a way of saying a big thanks to the Huns who have given him so many happy memories over the years!

If I was more cynical I would say he probably also received a nice wee retirement gift or indeed a cash alternative from his last game at Greyskull.

Id be amazed if he didnt do a lap of honour for all his services to Der Hun. What odds his last SPL game being the Celtc one.

Didnt say there was but I am saying it all adds up to a complete waste of time for all concerned.I dont think its purely about bias more a complete lack of bottle.

I can.

Potter is a liar, and a liar with a short memory.

He said today the Utd don't get the important decisions, well the cheating arabs got a fucking important one a fortnight ago against us.

Fuck them, the arabs and Potter got what they deserved today.

I've never like Levein for obvious reasons but having just listened to that interview with him on the BBC website, you've got to give him credit for telling it like it is.

He will be fined as he states his team were 'cheated', but it would appear that nobody can really disagree!

For the decision, no. Gattusi was stupid for lifting his hands, but he never fouled De Vries, not in the slightest.

The big ex gunt pirouetted like rudolph fucking nureyev and the ref called an important decision in Utd's favour. Simple as that.

Dd potter question the officials after that game?

The difference being that the referee was conned by a player, in contrast to today where the referee and linesman contrived to reach a decision all by themselves.

Another ex-jambo hit the deck against Aberdeen that resulted in a decision I didn't think was correct but it was something the ref had to make an instant decision on.

Today the ref had the opportunity to consult his linesman and the information that both had could have allowed them to reach the correct decision after consultation. The ref had the best view to see that the ball came off the defender from a direct shot and that the United player had not interfered.
The outcome was that he bottled it (the other alternative being that he cheated, but I dont buy into that) and he allowed the linesman to take the rap for it.

United got shafted. That's the biggest run of farcical decisions I've seen in a long while. Benefits Hibs but it's fucking sad to see.

Your hatred towards Levein and Dundee Utd means you are missing the point that Dundee Utd v Hibs was still a level playing field where Dundee Utd happened to get a decision in the same way as Hibs might have got the decision another day such as 'the Matty Jack' game though that's not quite strictly comparable I know.

However today wasn't a level playing field as there is no doubt in my mind that the referee and linesman weren't prepared to give Dundee Utd anything and when it came to very simple straight forward ticking the box decisions then the officials were always going to be conspicous by their abscence.

It was 'Boaby' of all people who called them 'Bottlers' and he was right.

Examples such as as Jim McGillvary failing to take any action for Gazza's headbut, Andy Davis the linesman who thwarted Hearts title challenge, the referee who disallowed the Aberdeen goal v Celtc two weeks ago, even last week with Deano's 'offside' and again today's incredulous decisions.

Most small European countries have had bribery problems in domestic football so it would be very naive to think it hasn't ever happened here but for the moment all the evidence seems to indicate that 'Scottish referrees aren't corrupt but they are bottlers of the highest order who know exactly what is expected of them.

So when does it start balancing out against the huns then? I'm 34 years old and the only one that sticks in my mind as being an important 50/50 decision that has went against them in my lifetime is when they got an early penalty against them in the 98 cup final.

It's not about Dundee Utd, it's about a refereeing performance which means the league is completely lacking in any credibility.

Since the split;
Hibs have had two penalties given against us which were soft. We've had two players sent off in the same game for dissent while I see worse from Ferguson in every single game and he has had not one booking this season for dissent or anything else. We've had a player straight through on goal wrongly given offside last week.

Dundee Utd have had one soft penalty, had an absolute stonewaller turned down today which should have seen the huns down to 10 men, had a player playing against them who stuck the head on one of their players remain on the park even though the ref seen it (which means it can't now go to the disciplinary committee btw) and had a shot from 30 yards which took a deflection off a hun being disallowed for absolutely fuck all.

So Motherwell in all likeliehood finish 3rd due to refereeing incompetence. Rangers might win the league due to refereeing incompetence. The league cup was decided with a referee cheating again against Dundee Utd in favour of Rangers. All we need for the refs to do a treble and qualify for the UEFA Cup is for them to decide who wins the Scottish Cup. I just hope they decide in favour of QoTS.

The game's a bogey man. Straight after the huns game my mate who is working today so only had the radio on asked how bad it was on the tele. I told him, and his immediate reaction was talking about jacking it completely due to shite like this happening every week.

And I just heard on the radio that Aberdeen scored today but the ref didn't see it.

Add on to this the complete fucking shambles of a fixture list where we now play on a Thursday night for our last game, and you have a national embarassment. This is not a league it's a fecking cabaret.
