Does anyone think that an adult only forum should be created for threads with innapropriate material.I have noticed quite a few members are under 16 and some of the thread topics may be a bit innapropriate for them to be reading.

I would imagine the 'Adults only' forum would be the first place that the under 16s would head!

No offense to those under 16 not trying to kiddie you but even tv has a watershed this place seems to have no restrictions on content especially of a sexual nature i.e the whole do you shave your baws thread some posts should not be viewed by young eyes IMO does anyone either agree with this or disagree?

Actually i know several forums where the admin can bar there membership from entering from there end so it is not pointless

Na,Your talking the difference of being 15 one day then turning 16 the next to be able to view something (people mature at different ages)

Like films in cinema or drinking in pubs when your under age,it's part of growing up and at least on the Bounce everything is monitored......

I'm not just talking about 15 there is younger i could name an eight year old just thankfully he does not use his membership very often,and dont think it is monitored that well content wise as you can make comments like getting your baws sucked harder and that is deemedd appropriate yes?

The youngsters are so computer literate nowadays that they can find anything on the internet, a bunch of saddos talking about shaving their hee haws is probably pretty tame!

TBH i don't know how many 10 year olds or whatever that would be reading the Cowshed or Pie stand as there's nothing that they would be interested in.

As an aside if a person knows the type of content that's posted on here then why would they let a young child read it?

I reckon the same thing why would you let your kids post in it and view it but the fact is they do so shouldnt someone be morally obligated even if the parents arent?

No,That's the same arguement for banning over 18 video games or films.

It's parental responabilty to decide what their child views or plays IMO.

As Decal quite correctly pointed out. If a kid comes on here, registers his/her age as [for instance] 25 wtf do you think the admins should do about it. Verify everyones age? Ask for formal ID to be sent to an address of their choosing so that they can verify the age of the registree perhaps. Its prety unworkable and therefore a waste of time.

It might seem like a good idea at first thought but as stated before it would be pretty unworkablec and impossible to police.

Besides which, there are plenty other forums which cater to just about every other "grown-up" theme be it political, religious or sexual in nature. This place as it is hits a pretty good mix of pub-level banter, serious debate and discussion of my football club but I would say that there have been threads that I wouldn't want kids to read (discussions about drugs for example).
