Thought Aberdeen were very good and a wee bit unlucky with the penalty.

However, they'll have to put in a mega-heroic performance to win over there.

Good luck to them though.

We'll f*ck them on Sunday, right enough. :-)

Re: Sheep

The first half was excellent. Two goals of real quality.

How the hell did they lose 9 goals in their last two matches ??

Re: Sheep

I thought it was a very good game, and Aberdeen were excellent.

The penalty incident was yet another example of what is IMO a very bad rule in football being shown up for what it is.

Can't see the Dons winning in Munich, but they put up a very good show tonight against a top class team.

Re: Sheep

Aberdeen have done Scottish football proud, They put up a very strong fight and were unlucky with the penalty, and after a shift like that they will be sore and probably slog thru the weekend game

Re: Sheep

It was a penalty given for handball in the box which occured when a fast cross into the box struck the Aberdeen defender on the arm. For this offence (which was clearly unintentional), Bayern were awarded a penalty kick from which they scored.

I know hardly anyone agrees with me, but IMO no penalty should be given for handball in the penalty box unless it is obviously intentional or prevents the ball going into the net. I think the handball rule in general is so open to abuse and mis interpretation it should be reviewed by FIFA. If it is clearly unintentional hand-ball in the box (as 99% of the are) then an indirect free kick should be given in the box.

...and their supporters can watch a game without ranting on about religious conflict from 400 years ago. (although a few of them need to stop fighting outside the ground).
