Sky Newsflash - Security alert in the North Sea
Just been on Sky News that the RAF are helping Grampian Police with a security alert in the North Sea; speculation it is relating to an oil rig.

500 personnel being evacuated from an oil rig; fourteen helicopters involved. Name of rig not yet available. Four to five helicopters on the case now.
"Significant Security Alert" involving a female on the oil rig. Could involve an explosive device of some sort. Ministers involved in London. Bomb disposal teams being landed on the oil rig. Sh!t! |

Sparked by call to Aberdeen Coastguard just before 10am this morning which resulted in evacuation plans.
Fact that something required ministerial approval makes you wonder what has been going on. |

Name of rig given as "Safe Scandinavia" operated by Pro-Safe; 170 miles from Aberdeen. Suspect the second rig referred to is the Britannia.
No one injured that they know of, thankfully. |

Aye app some radge says there a bomb on the platform... thus 539 people evacuated... according to someone who i know whos a senior polis man, they wouldnt evac for just a hoax
