Almost famous
My favourite ever movie about rock is about to start on ITV at 11.05..
Never tire of watching it...especially love the "bus scene" when after a mega fall out, all the band members, roadies, groupies etc start singing together Elton John's brilliant song "Tiny Dancer". It's as if they have realised that ultimately it's their sheer love of the music that has brought them to where they are.. It's based on the life story of Cameron Crowe who was a music journalist with Rolling Stone in the seventies. Great acting, great music, and it captures that Californian early 70's rock and roll excess period perfectly.
