Coffee and road rage for me.

Nah not sure TBH might give up pizza but that would be too hard so something like spending more time getting fit than sitting on the Bounce

Big Festivals all over Europe yesterday. The Rio Carnival is part of the same celebrations

I gave up meat one Lent, didn't eat it for another 9 years.

I'm giving up observing Lent this year.

i like this sort of thing. it gives the year a rhythm - the festivals changing with the seasons. and the giving stuff up bit is a necessary part of it, which would never fly in this country. it's the periods of abstaining that makes the party really rock if you know what i mean.

Truthfully.

Best thing I've ever done - health wise. Really cleans yer whole system out.

Still only eat meat twice a week or so. I broke one Sunday when I had a boiled ham sanwhich lovely. Once I cracked I went straight for the black-pudding and bought a nice Haggis from the butcher near the top of ER. Lovely. Bacon on the other hand is something I liked before but which now tastes disgusting. Pork in general tastes awful.
