Time To Stop Ground Sharing?

As well as our game, Motherwell vs ICT is also off today. Adds yet another tie to the fixture backlog at Fir Park.

OK, its bad luck that the 2 teams sharing Fir Park have ended up with some of the worst fixture backlogs, and the tragic circumstances behind some of Motherwell's postponed games are mercifully rare, but we are now seeing the logistical problems which could arise from ground sharing.

Rescheduling all these ties must be turning into a complete nightmare, and the Fir Park pitch must be a complete mess.

If Hamilton get promoted this year Im pretty sure NDP doesn't meet SPL standards. Is more ground sharing (no doubt at Fir Park again) the answer or is it time either to relax the rules on ground capacity etc, or tighten them back up and demand the club has a ground which meets SPL standards as a pre-requisite for promotion?

Synthetic pitches or Summer football would solve the issues.

Football in Scotland is ridiculously poor value for money. We dont want to sit down. We dont want to be treated like scum by the stewards. We dont want to eat over-priced reheated stale pies and pay £2 quid for a bit of powder and warm water in a tiny cup. We dont want to sit behind pillars (Well at certain grounds it's ok). We dont want to watch guys who cant control a football.

But that's what we get........

Would certainly help. Ironic that one of the issues Hamilton are likely to face is their plastic pitch.

Stopping allowing the old firm to demand fixture postponements whenever they feel like it might help too.
