Its doing my fekkin head in J, keeps popping up and telling me I need to buy it to protect my PC. It runs its own 'scan' [scam-sic] and comes up with a different number of infections each time it does it. I found a program on the informationsuperhighwaythingy that was meant to be free and would solve the issue but of course it wasnt and didntany help would be muchos appreciated before the dubster goes off his already shoogly trolley:dub30:

J I think I did that correctly but it seems to be running in the background, it was searching for something, not quite sure what, but I have no idea where to find it now. I'll leave it a while and see if anything happens. Cheers.

Re: Virus protect 3.9

i use this once a week without fail, and have managed (touching wood all over now) to stay safe, i have been using it for years and have managed to get rid off any viruses i have got, including trojans,

It is completly free and is web based so no need to install anything, the database is up to date, so will have the viruse and how to kill it already in it mem

That seems to have done the trick kinky. Took ages to get it running and scanning but all appears well [touch wood] on the dubsters PC so thanks very much for the link. I will run it every week like you suggest.

J, your one scanned and didnt find anything so it may not have been a clean up for this type of trojan but ta anyway for the help.

Depends on when you try it, how fast your connection is at the time, and all that sorta stuff, sometimes takes a while, but worth it,

Glad you are back up and running and safe again

Good news dub,

I got this one about 6 months ago and it did my nut in for about 3 days til i downloaded super anti-spyware free edition.
If it pops up again (hopefully not) then give that a spin.
