Just over £10M IIRC. That was the year when their wages/turnover ratio was something like 98%.

So that leaves very little to service the debt, surely. We have to add in the cost of players, running costs for ground. depreciations, and all the rest but if 98% is right it doesn't leave much for a return on debt. Cut price debt has to be accounted for by Ukio but I wonder what rate Ukio are charing Hearts - especially given the rates that can be achieved elsewhere at the moment. Vlad maybe attempted to take his debt elsewhere if he can get a higher return and his business now has a foothold in the west (which it now does). The big question is how can he get £40m out. Is there that much assett in HoMFC? There accounts should say whether there is.

forget turnover, there are rumours that they've a burn rate of near 10m a year. the sale of craig gordon gave a one off relief against this, but they'll not get many of those to the pound.

A lender (e.g. Vlad) makes his money in the interest he charges on the debt. So, for him, debt = profit. Just like to your mortgage lender.

He will only ship out if you can't make the payment (bad for him) and will then try for a fire sale. If he has been smart he will have an asset to realise at least equal to the debt.
