Aparthotel on Westgate Road - never again. I've been told the Quayside is noisy as well as all the pubs/clubs chuck their bottles out about 4am.

Best place to stay is Jesmond Dene, there is enough local life to make going into the center not worth your while whilst being "upmarket" enough to have decent noise abatement rules.
