Good to see them taking these things seriously in the US. This is effectively stealing from the shareholders and seeing as many of the shareholders are our pensions funds they have stolen from our pensions. If this had been the UK they wouldn't have even stood trial.

If the case is as straight forward as is being reported then I have not the slightest sympathy with these guys.
They saw an opportunity to make a few million. It involved a bit of lying and cheating....... they were comfortable enough to do it. They got caught. If you can't do the time etc etc Get 'em on the chain gang I say.

It's a plea bargain. 6 of the 7 charges were dropped, presumably in return for a light sentence on the one they pled guilty to. Usual US practice in loads of cases to pile on the charges. You have to be very confident of winning every charge against you to maintain a not guilty plea knowing that if you lose even one of them you'll have a very long sentence. The other way you know it's a plea bargain is that all three of them have changed their plea on the one charge.
Guaranteed they get 12 months tops and they'll serve their sentence in the UK in a minimum security jail.

Makes you realise what a complete fanny that Shami Chakrabarti of liberty is. It's only a couple of years since she was standing side by side with them going on and on and on about how they shouldn't be extradited to the US cos it wasn't fair on the poor little dears.
