Just tried, from 10:00 (official time the sale started) to buy 4 tickets to see the Foo Fighters at Wembley (for my laddie). The telephone lines were constantly engaged, or when you did get through all you got was a recorded message (that you are apparently charged for)

Seems that the whole of Wembley stadium sold out in less than 1 minute, as there were also no tickets available online...

However Ebay is now doing a roaring trade with pairs of tickets going for over £350 !!

How the feck do some people manage to get in so early??

Yeah, I've just tried as well, and no luck. Its an absolute fucking disgrace that touts are allowed to rip us off and get away with it.

I don't know how the touts get them so easily, it's outrageous. Whatever happened to walk-up sales, queuing from the early hours at tickets scotland/ripping/virgin? That is the only fair way to sell "in demmand" tickets, as it seperates the fans from the touts. Ticketmaster have a lot to answer for, I'm pretty sure they're in league with some of the larger ticket-touting agencies.

This is a familiar story, and one I have had much experience of over the last few years. Trying to get Springsteen tickets for his London 02 Arena show in December was a nightmare, however I was lucky enough to eventually get one for a seat behind the stage. The gig sold out in 10 minutes and his Belfast show was even quicker than that. You really have to be quick off the mark when the tickets go on sale online, and then just hope for thebest. You also need a lot of time on your hands to keep trying online and on the phone. There also tend to be ticket drops at venues nearer the time of the gig, so I would keep checking the venue websidte and also the Foo Fighters websites and fans forums for updates.
