A convicted sex offender and killer is being linked to the deaths and disappearances of up to 11 young women and girls across the country after detectives found a skeleton at one of his former homes.

Peter Tobin, 61, is suspected of carrying out a series of murders when he travelled across Britain while working as an odd-job man from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.

Tobin was found guilty of murdering Angelika Kluk in September last year.

Police searching for Dinah McNicol, who disappeared in 1991, confirmed yesterday that they have found human remains buried at the house in Margate, Kent, where Tobin was living at the time.

Fifteen other cases with possible links to Tobin have been identified by detectives in England and Wales.

.........he has also been connected to three unsolved murders by a killer known as “Bible John” in the late 1960s. Tobin was believed to be living in Glasgow in 1968-69 when Patricia Docker, 25, Jemima McDonald, 32, and Helen Puttock, 29, were strangled after leaving a dancehall in Glasgow.
