Fire on arthurs seat last night!

There was a huge fire which burned on arthurs seat all night app, the fire and rescue service couldnt get to it as it was too dangerous, anyone who was around have any pics/info?

I had to walk on foot through Stenhouse and Saughton to get to my cousin's flat at Carrick Knowe last night. Christ it was like bloody Bosnia or something, explosions and flashes in every street, burnt out cars, fire engines and police cars racing about occasionally. Neds in every hedgerow, rockets and flares shrieking overhead. Normally I'm pretty bullish about going into rougher areas, even after dark (that said probably more bravura than guts, I'm a wimp probably) but I was f*cking bricking it at times. Like a war zone FFS!!

Hilarious thing, in middle of it all was a bloke with a kid on his shoulders "watching the firework display"!!!

yeah it was like war out there, i have to admit i do like sensibly used fireworks but not by neds...

There is a bit of wasteground beside Stenhouse Cross, adjacent to the railway line, the neds appeared to be setting ground-skimming fireworks across it in an attempt to hit a serious of containers at the far side. To give them some credit, they were achieving remarkable feats of Exocet-like missile accuracy...

Another favourite appears to be setting the firework on its stick upside down, lighting it, them run like f*ck since once it goes off it flies straight into the ground at 100 miles an hour and explodes into flame.

If someone had been wanting to record atmospherics and light bursts for a war film, they missed a good chance IMO.
