It's not the clearest of scenarios but the way I've read this hibs.net dispute is;

A guy who posted here has been identified through his IP address to be an ex hibs.net admin.

I just wanted to ask; how did the hibs.net dudes manage to get the posters IP address?

I love these things, because its all about shit that happened a few years ago. The boy Trevster seems basically not to be liked over here. The boy then puts a sly post over here getting in aboot the other board crashing last saturday

Seems the other board got his IP address from here and (ahem) outed the Trev fella. Reading between the lines I get the distinct feeling that since the boy Trevster has GTF'd to HFC, the Bounce and the Net have been getting on much much better. A sort of coming to gether in the best of the HIbs family tradition.

All very strange and quite boring.

One thing though, since the other thread has been locked, 3 admins have posted on it.Why not just delete the whole thread?Seems a bit unfair that admins can contribute but no-one else.

Does seem to be like 'handbags at dawn' - why care? Unless he said something directly slanderous/libelous, it should've been sorted behind closed doors.

That was precisely my question, now answered by Gunner. I didn't intend my thread to be inflammatory although I suppose it was sadly inevitable that it would lead to a stooshie.
