Surely Bad = infamous and good = famous

I was amused by the sheer breathtaking abdication in the statement "I don't have any political opinion". Surely everybody has an opinion on Hitler and the holocaust, even if it's "he was a jolly good thing and the only problem was that he didn't get FAR ENOUGH." It's sort of one of the rules of being alive, that you have an opinion on things like that.

as abhorrent as the material used its certainly had the desired effect as suggested as its caught the attention of people (an isnt that the dynamic behind advertising?) interestin note that it is in a predominately islamic country in the middle-east so maybe hitler isnae such a reviled figure there as he is in europe??

also i think david dakak may jus be playin it safe by sayin he has no political opinion on hitler, an also by extension i presume nazism, in order no to get drawn on a debate

tho you could be tempted to say that the subject matter also as an ethical or moral angle which i would reckon more people have an opinion of than political issues

That's a good point.

Russian-themed vodka bars in Eastern Europe have probably dropped a few clangers, in terms of the images they have used.

It's been highly effective, at least according to Dakak himself. But I'm not sure that's an adequate defence of it. I'm sure you're right in saying that the position of Hitler in the national consciousness of Dubai is somewhat more ambiguous than in, say, Belgium.
