Re: Bebo and similar 'friend' network sites.
Stumbled on a site set up by a chap I was due to interview. Demonstrated a bit of a lack of judgment and didn't help his case at all. He was rather "indiscrete" about his current employer - what a fool!!!

Re: Bebo and similar 'friend' network sites.
Against, for all the police and government do or say to try and make it hard for Peedos not to get easy access to see kids this is the easiest way for them to get access to it. Ok you could argue there not kids as nowadays its over 16s, but all they have to do is lie about there age. Totally against, if I had kids i would forbid them for having any personal websites.

Re: Bebo and similar 'friend' network sites.
Against. Who the hell wrote that at the bottom of my signature!
Seriously, I personally use it to keep in touch with friends. I don't really see it being much different than here? Obviously it's a bit more idiotic but I like being idiotic at times. I get a laugh out of Bebo mostly. And I've gotten in touch with many friends and cousins I'd forgotten existed. It was nice to hear from them. Mostly. Like all things it can be abused. But you can say that against the whole internet. Parents can easily supervise young kids pages by knowing their paswords. Teenagers? Well, that's another matter. But I doubt there would be more or less paedos in the world without Bebo or that they'd have more or less success. There's bad people out there. Like ColR says though, and I've heard other horror stories, employers can view your site. Although I think there's some way you can block anyone you don't accept a friend from viewing your page. Verdict? Bebo! Bebo! Bebo!
