What would it take for to stop supporting Hibs?

I don't just mean stop going to games, actually not giving a toss if we win or lose, or turning the whole way and wanting to see Hibs get beat week in week out.

If we were in the same boat as the yams,
If we went down to div 3,
If we went bust and came back as Hibs Utd
If we moved stadium,
I would still be a Hibs fan.
I always have been a Hibs fan and we have been through some major shaftings in our time, both on and off the pitch.

So things would have to be majorly bad for me to stop supporting the cabbage. I would strive for change if things got like the yams, but I really don't know if anything would stop me supporting Hibs.

If we moved city, changed the name (like Meadowbank, Mk Dons) I don't know what I would do then. (I suspect I would buy the last Hibs top and make a shrine)

I can't see anythingaon personal basis that would make me stop either, moving country etc.

So I have answered my own questsion, I will always be a Hibs fan, no matter what.

I doubt there would be many folk that would go to that extreme although, just for a giggle it would interesting to see how Wee_162 reacted if Margaret Thatcher bought the club.

If Hibs moved from Easter Rd, that would probably do it for me. I doubt I could show much more than a casusal interest if that happened. Unless of course they did the treble or something.

I think it would have to be death, never going to stop being a Hibbie. Mind you if we went into receivership there's not much you can do there. Certainly wouldn't follow another Scottish team.

I'd just stick to Scotland i think.

But surely another team would come along to replace them.. Hibernian Utd (a bit like Airdrie.... or more like the New Wimbledon)..

they'd have to start off in a lower division or non-league, but eventually with the additional clout they'd have from the disenfranchised "old hibs" supporters that would pick up the new club as their first choice, it would only be a matter of time before they climbed the ranks to regain their rightful place in the echelons of Scottish Football.

Chris Robinson & Leslie Dean's co-owning with Fatso Williamson & Jim Jeffries as the coaching staff might make me re-asses my support.

Quite easy to say it without it happening but for me all Hibs were before 'Hibernian Utd' would be gone, history, passion, love all wiped out.

A suicide bombing in the directors box would be the only course of action available to me I reckon

Have to say I would be far from impressed if someone like the boy who bought Man City took over at Hibs. I wouldn't stop supporting us, but I would kick up absolute feck. Moving from ER would have a brutal effect on the support and I don't know how I would react to that. If it was still in Leith it would probably not be so bad but anywhere outside the city would be a different matter.

Re: What would it take for to stop supporting Hibs?

Alex Miller as manager caused me to stop supporting Hibs in person.

The only thing that would make me stop supporting Hibs, was if Hibs failed to exist. But, as we nearly had that scenario in 91, everyone knows that Hibs would just start again probably in Midlothian/East Lothian/West Lothian.

Sir Tom has made sure that won't happen though, hasn't he?
