The do it in cricket
They might even do it in rugby - I dont pay enough attention

So why the fekk can we not have a fourth official reviewing dodgy calls in football. these would have to be restricted to a couple per side per game otherwise MadVlad would be asking for a review of every throw in corner etc assuming he ever bothered to turn up to see his club.

What does the fourth official do anyway

One problem I can foresee is that smaller clubs might not have the facilities tohouse enough s or equipment to make the system work so it would need some thought.

I'm pretty sure in Tennis a player is allowed a limited amount of disputed call referals. Don't think it matters that smaller clubs can't afford it - you just make it a rule useable in top flight games and maybe cup ties from quarter-finals in.

I dont think you need dispute calls at all.All is needed is a ref watching a monitor and when a dodgy decision is made it is up to the tv ref to tell the bassa in the black that he has got it wrong.

There is usually a stop in play when contenious decisions are made and that is the time for the tv ref to say no penalty,ball over line,simulation(yawn) bla de bla.

If the ref knew sombody was watching during the game then i dont think they would be so whistle happy in the first place
