i'm 37 and i remember

"as an aside, i actually had my strangest ever spew at a robert halpern gig. decided to go in on the spur of the moment and ended up necking several cans of lager i'd just bought before doing so (can't have them going to waste after all). anyway, cos i bolted them oot a can, and not being a very experienced drinker at the time, i ended up with 4 cans worth of lager sitting in my diaphragm atop a massive air bubble.

try as i might i just couldn't get a burp up, but then suddenly just as bob starts his show brrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrppppppppp - the biggest burp i've ever done, pops out my gullet pushing before it, like a blast wave, pure lager, without even a single diced carrot.

i swear i could have taken a breathalyser and been fine to drive. the stuff didn't even get into my system. which made things even worse really cos sitting there covered in lager spew, but stone cold sober, i didn't even have the alcohol to insulate me from the redder of it all.!
