I was just perusing the thread about that talent show, and it reminded me to ask - is this thing on every feckin night - or am i reading the same newspaper everyday?

if so feck's sake. how shite is tv; reality shows, celebrity shows, 'talent' shows.

it's like andrew marr mused on his programme on thatcher's years: it's easier to grasp what you're freeing people from, than what you're freeing them for.

and as someone else said, people don't want liberty they want license.

the telly is enough to bring out the socialist tyrant in me. is this really what people want? this is what we do with our freedom?

Television, the drug of the nation, breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.....

Just stop watching it. In general, TV is a total waste of your time. I watch the news, football, Grand Designs (my guilty pleasure) and some random UK comedy. I also watch some American shows on t'compootah.

just switch off your tv set and go do something a little less boring instead.

Summer holiday kids tv, I think Battle of the Planets used to come on after it, so there was no way I was switching off.
