i and many of our members on this site are postmen/women so i ask you all to support us on our up and coming strike. i have put on a link to show you what higher management in the royal mail are offering us.just one thing to let you all know...we as a union will only strike as a last resort

read the link mate it explains some of our issues......what it does,nt tell you is that your postie is now going to start later (6am) and that way your postie will lose between £12 -£20 per week and also deliver 5 door to door items per week(thats your leaflets and crap) and not get paid for them.they currently deliver 3 of them and get 1p per item.now you may think thats not to bad ...but most posties deliver to 600-800 houses per day .so if they take out all there door to doors + there mail then your mail will get even more later than you get it now.

Well often its cheaper to send a parcel by courier and the service is often better too

all the mail that tnt/uk mail pick up is sorted into areas and then dropped of at edinburgh mail centre for us to sort and deliver.all for 12p per item.so we are still doing there work

Seriously though the PO has some feckin serious problems. Have you ever visited Dunfermlines delivery office? Fucking shambles so it is, no-one in there gives a shit about the mail. Now i know it is only one example but if the pattern is repeated elsewhere then no wonder they are losing dosh!!!

I'm already supporting my postie - he's coming next week to paint all the exterior woodwork on my house.

If all these companies who paid the Post Office to deliver their shite stopped doing so, it would save a hell of a lot of recycling.

awlight colin my support goes to them thru the family n friends thing but with regards to gettin a new passport i always go thru to glasgow pay the extra cash n get it same day just to be on the safe side as ive never trusted royal mail due to a lot of misplacings of my mail down the yrs .

saying that can one still get passports same day.......
