What Would You Do?

You enter a competition not really thinking through the consequences of actually winning the bloody thing and unbelievably you win...

The prize with partner (Mrs Smurf..)..

This Monday evening in Radio Theatre Broadcasting House in London to see your favourite Pop group these past 20 years perform a concert in front of only 40 other people for a show to be broadcast on Radio 2..

Problems...

Work.. I've got tons to do on Monday/Tuesday.. (I was going to even stay off the bounce...)
Money.. Either driving/rail/flight is very expensive.. Hotel etc etc I'm pretty skint..
Family.. Need to hit family member with taking Toddler Smurf but this is the least of the problems as Granny Smurf can hopefully be persuaded to give up bingo..

Should i be sensible or not?

Feck it. Go.

You probably won't get the chance to do it ever again, and you'll regret it if you don't. Unless the finances mean you just can't do it, and if that's the case, then you can't go anyway.

Re: What Would You Do?

You must go, no two ways about it.

Financially there's always a way, you'll be devastated that you didn't go the next time you're flush and money's not seeming like a concern.

Work can wait! If you were struck ill and you couldn't work on Monday and Tuesday then the work would have to wait, think of this the same way but you have the added adavantage of being able to plan slightly for this.

The hardest problem is the Bingo though, I'm sure you have somebody who'll look after the wee one especially when you explain how important this event is and how much it means to you.

Hope you have a great time.

Re: What Would You Do?

Magic - love all the comments on here!

Granny Smurf is giving up her bingo to take wee man Smurf...

However, how i'm i going to get down there? I've suggested to Mrs Smurf that we drive down and drive right back up after the concert to save on hotels and the extortionate flight or rail costs...

However, she's worried i'll fall asleep driving back up the road...

Oh and yes Forza it is indeed these wonderful grandfathers of Pop...

If you fancy slumming it, try the city link buses or something similar, they can be very cheap and pretty nippy all things taken into account, in getting there!
