Great films you missed 1st time.

Ever completely missed a movie when it was out with all the hype then caught it years later and thought 'wow'?

Downloaded and watched Amistad yesterday, the film about the slave ship in 1839. Good cast, A Hopkins, Postlethwaite, him from yes minister and the main african character (name escapes me) who played Heath Ledger's scout in 2003's 'the four feathers'.

absolutely stunning movie, so moving, though i'm unsure just how accurate it is(for now).

any more?

Re: Great films you missed 1st time.

just saw 28 Days Later - now that's a good film - love Cillian Murphy (superb in Sunshine as well) - love the soundtrack - In the House In a heartbeat - almost ruined by advertising Peugeot but one of the best rock out instrumental tracks ever. Very Mogwai, very cool.

Great film. Was good at the pictures too although not as vital to see it there as it is Sunshine.

Same for me. Thought it sounded cr@p, but was one of the best war films of all time. Tremendous atmosphere.

Re: Great films you missed 1st time.

Bought 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest' on DVD about a year ago and only watched it last month, definitely in my top 5 favourite films.

Can't believe the voice of Chucky is in it!

Re: Great films you missed 1st time.

City of God - mate of mine had been on at me to see it and didn't fancy it, eventually got it out on dvd and was blown away. Probably in my top 3 films now.

The Green Mile - was pretty blinkered when it came to watching any film with Tom Hanks but it was pleasantly surprised.

Sunshine on Leith is on the way to a first team debut
Re: Great films you missed 1st time.

Y TU MAMA TAMBIAN (and your mother too).

My mate Gareth who occasionaly posts on here recommended this film to me last year. I think it was out in 2001.

I paid £6.00 for this fantastic movie on DVD.

It's based in Mexico and is about a couple over sexed teenagers, when during a festive afternoon with their families they meet 28year old Spaniard Luisa who they invite to go on a road trip to the beach.

This is a funny and sexy film and the ultimate feel good factor.

Can I say guys, if you've not had the pleasure to see this film I guarantee you will enjoy it.
