Paralysis fears for student hit with traffic cone

Doctors don't know if a student will ever walk again after she was hit on the head with a traffic cone in Edinburgh.

Someone dropped it sixty feet off George the Fourth Bridge - landing on 23-year-old Kate Flannery from Dublin.

It'll be another day at least before medics get a better indication of how badly hurt she is.

Police are going through CCTV footage to find out who dropped it.

Admit your guilt, it's accepted it may have been an accident.

Just been on the news that an arrest has ben made regarding this.
Absloutely mental, two lives ruined because of a single act of stupidity. Maybe lessons will be learnt but i doubt it very much.

I do appreciate the accident factor and that we were all young once and make mistakes.

Is this the reason part of the coogate is cloese off to traffic after 10pm ? I always thought it was shut because one of the student jakeys might stagger in front of a car.

Throwing things, apart from yourself, off any bridge, isn't just "a bit STUPID".
