In short, feck all would get done because we would be too busy filling in questionairres and poll forms. That might be why we have "democratically" elected representatives so that they can feck it all up without us having to put a single tick in a box.

The fact is that western governments read the polls too and know perfectly well what people want. They just choose to ignore it. Is that OK with Bouncers?
