Do not download tvants

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it warrants another posting regardless. This may belong on another forum but I want as many people to see this as possible.

I downloaded tvants.exe to view the celtic / hibs match, and it worked fine. But, the adware that came with it has been crippling. I have dozens of chinese websites opening up on their own. I have difficulty opening websites in general. I have just now started to get blue screen shut downs which I attribute to this software as well.

I have uninstalled the software, and run anti-spyware and anti-virus software. The problems have only gotten worse. I know computers and I have a computer science degree so I'm fairly certain this software has manipulated the registry and internet explorer in some fantastically creative ways. bravo to the chinese...it's either malicious or ignorant...but I digress.

My advice is to not download tvants, pplive, or other pieces of software from unregulated nations. Some people can format their computers at the drop of a hat, but I run so many pieces of software on a regular basis, that I'm going to have to dedicate an entire day of my life and half a dozen blank cd's on fixing my computer.

I think this message should be tacked, or bulletined or whatever....I'm an angry boy.

Been using it for a year or more now, the odd add pop-up but not much else. Good value for nowt. Maybe the fact I use Firefox helped? Adware scans revealed not much out of the ordinary either.

Just my 2p worth.

No problems with TV Ants or pplive here.

Well apart from at the start of some games the connection going crap because so many people are trying to connect at the last minute i think. I suppose it makes it as if you are actually there, its like all the late comers that need to get that extra pint in before the game then arrive at the game causing disruption.
