Newsflash: Heart of Midlothian blamed in Lithuanian population crisis
This news just in:
THE Baltic state of Lithuania last night appealed to the United Nations for aid after its population fell by a quarter overnight. In a demographic catastrophe every single man between the ages of 16 and 35 has simply disappeared, plunging the country's economy into deep crisis. Speaking to the UN Security Council, the Lithuanian president, Valdas Adamkus said: "At first we thought it was bird flu, then we wondered if we had been hit by a pre-emptive neutron bomb strike and nobody had told us. But then we checked the port and airports and realised that they had all gone to Edinburgh.
