I can exclusively reveal that the skivin' cooncil radge fae Peterheid is
 50 TODAY I know this will come as quite a shock to many of you who thought he was much older but his misspent youth (in which I had no part) has caught up with him at last. He has worked tirelessly for over 20 years on a personal mission to make the Buchan countryside a better place to live in by staging a one-man purge on seagulls, crows, pigeons, rabbits and anything else which comes within range of his white van while all the time posing as a Council plumber. Despite his advancing years, the man on whom the television character Victor Meldrew was modelled remains lucid and can still remember the Three Day Week - in fact he thought it was still in force.  In order to avoid publicity (and buying a drink) though, he has opted to spend this milestone birthday in a caravan at Blair Drummond so please join me in wishing the miserable old git a Happy Birthday.
