Elliot
With the news Yams could farm Elliot out to Motherwell I feel that this should not be allowed unless it is to a different division. The reason I think so is that there will likely be a clause in the loan deal which will exclude him playing against the Yams. Now teams could do this to help other teams take points off their main rivals while not having to face their own players. This isnt sour grapes about Elliot as I dont think Hibs defenders are shaking in their boots but just on principle of the whole situation.

Re: Elliot
I don't think it's that much of a problem, to be honest.

If he was allowed to play against Hearts it could end up in a dodgy situation for both teams - if he scored against them Hearts fans would be a bit miffed and Elliot would probably feel apprehensive about going back. And if he performed badly against Hearts then the 'Well fans would think he was just trying to help him so they would get on his back. As for him helping other teams take points off rivals - that's true but it's not a wrong thing to do from a Hearts point of view. Just because not all teams take advantage of these situations doesn't make it wrong. Loaning players out is a good way to give them more experience and just generally make them better. I really wish we could send Jinky out on loan to another SPL team - I think it would be great for him to be playing more regularly because I think the laddie could be really tidy player. |

Re: Elliot
I see what your saying but it is something that will always favour clubs with a large squad of players. Imagine if smeltic and rantic both started loaning out players to teams like dunfy and caley just so they can take points of us and dons and yams then insisted the same players couldnt play against them...na I dont like it I just dont like it
