Could you last a week without your mobile phone?

How would you feel if you went a week without your mobile phone?

Personally I use mine everyday, for texting and calls. I would find not having a phone inconvenient and would have to change the way I meet people, ie. arranging a fixed time and place rather than "I'll call you when I'm close.". Other than that, I often turn it off or call people back later if I can't/don't want to answer for any reason so don't really consider myself a phone junkie. I've found days without my phone quite pleasant in the past.

I left mine too. Having constant battles with the wife over who gets to use her one.

Re: Could you last a week without your mobile phone?

I was 18 when mobile phones became affordable and everyone suddenly had one. Sad to admit but my sexual history would be totally different if I was born much earlier - how were you supposed to flirt post club or speak once you got it on? Can just imagine it - me standing in the hall, whole family listening in 'Er...hello sir...is Susie there.' then try and give her the chat when both our faithers are listening! One chance, no chance.

Re: Could you last a week without your mobile phone?

I hate mobile phones!

It's not that I'm against technological innovation at all, in fact I actively embrace loads of electronics (My Hi-Fi being my main hobby!)

It's just that I don't like the way they've taken over, in every walk of life things seem to revolve around text messages and phonecalls! The football is a prime example instead of celebrating, watching and discussing the game as it happens people seem to automatically start to compose a text message every time the ref blows a whistle!

My Wife insists I possess a phone but I don't go in for all the fancy stuff (ask rep of Ireland Hibee or Nabser about my antique mobile phone circa 1995!), if I remember to take it out

agree with that, the mobile has come in handy at shutting time when youv'e got the horn, quick call on the mobby to an old bird and 7 out of 10 times you need to give someone a lift home in the morning

instead of bouncing seriously gets on my tits. If you're going to stand completely still in the front 10 rows with one hand and a £100 piece of equipment in the air then at least wait for a ballad you selfish pricks.

All for a 10 second clip, where it sounds like you were at a concert on the moon. Wankers.

Exactly!

tbh it actually makes me feel old when I'm at gigs but i'm glad a 23yr old music fan has the same thoughts!

They also phone people and hold up the phone shouting listen to this! as if the recipient can close their eyes and picture themselves at the Gig!

Unfortunately I don't think I could even go two hours without it ! the only time my phone isn't in my hand is when I am sleeping and even then its next to me !!!!!!! yes I know I have a problem....... Spend £100 a month on texts alone and thats after getting 500 free
