Yep, and as long as the law stands as it is, there is no way that the NHS would ever countenance such carte blanche information sharing with the polis, and to be fair to the current policy makers (certainly within Scotland, of which I'm a wee fish in the big pond) it's not something which has even gone near our radar.

Its the result way down the line for me when people are deciding who lives or dies on the basis of a disease they MIGHT inherit or as in the case below is treatable.
