Northern Ireland Hibby will become famous soon enough
Mixed messages from Bono

Bono's new fundraising scheme [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] is going to sell big 'brand' items raise money for AIDS in Africa.

Four of the products announced so far are: a red AMEX card, a red GAP t-shirt, Armani glasses and Converse boots.

I'm sure the workers in whatever sweat-shop is responsible for three of the products will be delighted with the news. GAP have made a step forward by having their t-shirts made in Africa, but the whole concept seems pretty ill-conceived to me.

Like many things these days it matters more to appear to others to be ethical than to actually change your lifestyle and make a difference. Dinner party chic and labels
