Very sad to hear that. Re-read one of his books recently and he truly was one of the best writers on economics I've ever came accross. Also one of the people who actually put his theories to the test, and they were succesful.

The World Economy Since The War. Loads of absolutely fantastic analysis of various bits and pieces. He is particularly scathing on Reagans economic policies iirc. The bits on the New Deal and the US positioning economically for the Second World War is full of stuff like how Roosevelt made decisions based on advice from total Keynesian economic advisors, but kept listening to those opposed to them and used their analysis to challenge all their assertions. Great read.
