Stools From The Sphincter of Jambo Delusion Number Eighty-Five
That's it's morally okay to batter phuck out of regular Celtic supporters in replica tops and scarves, in front of their offspring, because many fans of said team sing Irish rebel songs, some of which eulogise the deeds of terrorists. NO IT IS NOT.
Football violence is not something to be encouraged but let's live in the real world; football is a passionate, partisan game which appeals to the territorial instincts of aggressive young men. There will always be football violence because some human beings will always be violent and football, with the high emotions it engenders, will often be the occasion of it.
If the crappy CSF (they were never a mob anyway, Hibs always ran them from 84-85 onwards) want to have a dash with the dodgers, then surely they could arrange a scrap with the CSC. We do live in an era of mass communications and multi-media after all.
I'm not suggesting that the glorification of the execrable deeds of terrorists is something to be condoned (quite the opposite in fact) but to pick on clearly identifiable football fans with families in tow is the mark of the worst kind of shite-bag and bully. And if the scum responsible think that kind of conducted equates to the street notion of 'hard', then they clearly don't understand the term.
