Rangers Fine

I know this probably isn't all that relevant, but I feel a point has to be made...

Am I the only one who's a bit disgusted at David Murray's comments in various publications this morning regarding the fine applied to Rangers for their fans behaviour in Spain? Even though the fine was for vandalism, it's caused their fans song-choice to be headline news once again, to which Murray's reaction is to pillory the '90 minute bigots' who attend Rangers matches.
Bearing in mind this is the same David Murray who continually encourages fans to buy 'orange' replica tops, allows pro-loyalist flags and banners at games and who in the past has even sanctioned 'orange-days' at Cup Finals in honour of the clubs past 'Dutch contingent' (aye right).

How can he now turn round and 'warn the clubs fans to clean up their act' after years of encouraging/not taking appropriate action against this kind of misbehaviour?????

I am of no religious standing, and they can sing what they want - it doesn't bother me. But for the Chairman of an SPL club to be such an obvious hypocrite frankly pisses me off.

The soud-bite on the radio this morning was along the lines the Murray is happy Rangers were cleared of bigoted chanting but there is still a problem with sectarianism in Scotland.

A major part of the problem IMO is Rangers and Celtic not taking any responsibility for the part they play. Sectarianism wont go away while fuds like Murray stick their heads in the sand.

Totally agree.
They have grown in power and influence over the years by trading on peoples hatred and now they just deny it all

How does he know whether they are 90 minute bigots or not? All he can say is that they are bigots when they are in front of him at Ibrox many of them will go home to be bogots, raise their children as bigots and behave like bigots in the workplace as well.
