It's a feckin great service and a great deal mate, we've been using it a couple of months now and it's brilliant. You can call other people who use it for FREE anywhere in the world too.

It doesn't with Vonage. Only possible drawback is if there is a temporary ISP failure you lose your phone line too. But most folk have a cellphone or mobile too so that isn't too inconvenient.

I am the biggest fan of Vonage. I know that there are probably other VOIP services out there with the same service for the same price or cheaper (maybe?) BUT I feel safer with Vonage's 911 (999) service. You know what you're getting with a major company as well. We've had it for almost three months and I love it.

Free router (they call it an adapter) Free first month, in the US it's slightly more than the UK - $24.99 (£15.00) a month.

In America it's an especially good deal due to this one fact: here they have this strange concept of Long Distance. With phones if the person you call isn't in your area (usually a radius of about 50-90 miles) they charge you a boatload in long distance. With our old phone service BellSouth (sound like BT anyone?) we were paying $30 a month and usually about another $30-40 in long distance to my parents (about 900 miles away) now everything is $24.99 - free long distance to US, Canada, P.R. and any other Vonage customer worldwide. It's about 2 or 3 cents a minute to call Scotland, but if the person we are calling has vonage, it's free!

Def worth it in my opinion!
