Re: FAO Northern Ireland watchers

Ceasefire or no ceasefire... he was a dead man walking.

Surprised he hadn't skipped off to the arsehole of Tasmania or somewhere similar to live.

Adams condemns it but the executioner in chief has no attributable comments

Blame Blair and his yellow bellied cronies for this one, bend over backwards to get your political will somewhere along the line they're going to shaft you

A good point, but to these guys the entire world ends outside the border counties. Says a lot about their mentality.

Kabul - who's the executioner in chief?

Martin McGuiness, head of the Ra's punishemnt unit and the man who is believed to have authorised the vast majority of all punishment executions in the past 15 years

Thought so. Worked in the butcher's shop my ma' used in the 70s in Derry!! He's good craic these days as he tends to loose his head during interviews and give people his "if only I had my gun" look.

Like you say. We can wait and see if he has anything to say about this latest piece of 'non-sanctioned' activity.

Re: FAO Northern Ireland watchers

I find it very odd that apparantly he was interviewed by a newspaper and his whereabouts where also published recently ?

surely this raises questions such as , was revealing his whereabouts a plan by someone to see this man killed without that someone having to get their hands dirty? ( or at least be able to point the finger at someone else )
or did the man himself just decide he wanted the inevitable over and done with and took the steps to have his whereabouts made public?

A good question but the truth of it is that he was tracked down by a Sunday newspaper (Sunday World I think) and also by the BBC. Neither needed his permission to run a story with his vague whereabouts (in fact, I think in both cases he told the reporters to GTF).
