Re: Technical help peeps
The first thing that goes into every phone socket in your house should be a splitter.
Ie if you have a socket in the living room, and a socket in the kitchen both need to have splitters fitted. I had the same problem at work on Thursday: muppet electrician added a socket, and didnae put a splitter in it.

Re: Technical help peeps
Yes. Splitter into socket, then add your various phone lines in the phone bit on the splitter.

Re: Technical help peeps
I think I understand you know.
The splitter I refer to has two inputs: one for broadband, one for your phone line. You need also to get something to to carry multiple phone lines into the one phone socket in your splitter. Argos have them IIRC.

Re: Technical help peeps
I think from the above, you need to plug your filter into you phone socket, connect the broadband to that, then get a splitter and plug that into the filter. This will allow you to plug in both sky boxes. Filters are available from all do DIY stores as they say. Although I suspect your after a 3 way spliter if you want to plug a landline in (i.e. house phone)
Of course I may have picked you up wrong from the above. You need a filter for every installed phone point in your home ( I think you have one from the above posts). When talking about sky you can add a spliter as the connections are the same, so for two sky boxes and a home phone you need a 3 way spliter, cost is a few quid. Can I ask, are both sky boxes beside each other ? Normally they'd be in different rooms, unless your using Media Centre then I'm puzzled as to why you have two sky boxes in the same room. I hope that makes sense, if not forget about it, we are playing the Jambos in a little over 13 hours :-) |
