Album Recommendations

I'm currently listening to Nightmares on Wax's new album, "In a Space Outta Sound" which is very good. He hasn't moved on too much since "Smokers Delight" which IMO is a good thing, loads of soul/hip hop/reggae/jazz influences mixed in there. If you are looking for a reminder that summer is actually on it's way, get this as it'll only sound better as the days get longer....

It was Nightmares on Wax that did the 6 Mix on Sunday night. It still should be on the 6 Music listen again (would post the link but the IT heid yins won't let us access BBC Radio site due to the highbandwidth

). It was fooking marvelous, so much so that the album will probably form part of my monthly CD spending spree.

As for the Jack Johnson album, the one with the yellow cover (cannae mind what its called) its a pretty braw album. couple of mediocre songs, but much of the rest of it is pretty good. A fair amount of them will be farily recognisable too.

Blue Lines is the dogs. Might have to dig that out when i get home.

Is that the new Sigur Ros one? Their website has dozens of freebie downloads. Can't remember the URL, but a google search should bring it up.

Re: Album Recommendations

Anyone heard of a group called 'The New Scientists'? A boy in my work gave me a copy of their LP the other day but can't find any info about them on the web. Their pretty decent in a chilled out accousticy kinda way.
