GARRY O'CONNOR: RUSSIAN FOOTBALL IS FAST
Scotland international forward Garry O'Connor played his first game for Lokomotiv Moscow on Sunday as his side suffered a 0-1 defeat at home to Krilya Sovetov.
There were question marks over Garry's participation in the game as the player suffered a food-poisoning in Scotland four days before the match.

"I was feeling badly on Wednesday and Thursday, flied to Moscow on Friday and had only one training session before the game", said O'Connor. "But when the game started, I forgot about all the problems".

"I liked the game, although losing the first game was not what we needed. But we have a very good team and we'll be back on track soon".

Comparing football in Russia with the game in Scotland O'Connor admitted that the game is faster in Russia.

"The football is being play with a much higher tempo here. I need to adopt to it but actually I like it and I think I need a couple of games to get used to".

"There were not too much fans today and it's quite understandable - it was cold and snowing. But I am sure our fans will come to watch us as soon as we get to the winning ways", said the Scottish forward.

Hibernian F.C - Edinburgh's FOOTBALL team
Heart of Midlothian F.C - Edinburgh's HOOFBALL team
I've never seen such a one sided game in all my life.

One team trying to play football, the other team constantly lumping the ball up the park, to no avail.

Pathetic. Sickening. Embarassing.

it's rarely more than 10000. only in games with our main rivals there can be more. last year the stadium was sold out (30000) only twice in the league and once in the champion's league qualifiers. sad but true
