Default Roddie McLeod

Received the very sad news today of the death of one of my Dad's oldest friends in Melbourne, Australia. Roddie was a great Hibby as well as being a great, witty guy, and in his younger days in Craigentinny he would regularly go to Easter Road with my Dad and all their mates to see the Famous Five play. Roddie idolised Gordon Smith, and I remember when I visited him in Melbourne a few years ago, giving him a framed picture of the great man. When I got there, I saw that he had about five other framed pictures of him on his wall !

Roddie and his family made me very welcome when I was there for a week, and it was a priviledge to spend time with him and his family.

May you rest in peace Roddie, and I'm sure your already having a good blether with the Gay Gordon right now !

I am sorry to hear of Rod's passing.

Through the Australia Branch of the Hiibs Supporters Assocaition I got to know Rod reqasonably well, probably from about 1988, when he became a member.

I met him on a few occasions when I travelled to Melbourne from Sydney, and he was always very good company.

A photographer I seem to recall by profession, and a staunch Hibs supporter.

I hadn't heard from him for a few years, and I am saddened to hear of his death.

Would you be good enough to pass on to those close to him, my condolences.
