Notice your post states that your technical knowledge has limitations. I can design and program websites. Don’t have an awful lot of time but would be willing to help out.
I think some people appreciate it for the stats in particular mate.

I think the forums are closing due to the lack of use of them not being commensurate with the time it takes to manage them. That's how I understand it.

Don't want to speak out of turn as I'm only a user of the site but as the site is just going into hibernation then I'd imagine what it would need to keep it operating is regular management and contributions from writers. Not sure about that though.

My personal thought is that it would need to develop more of a niche as Hibs forums are very well served on The Bounce and h.net.
