hi There

I have an Ipod nano 8 gig player. There are two possibly related issues with it. Firstly, it isn't always recognised when I plug it into my PC. This led to a charging issue (i.e. it didn't charge, which may be a one off). The second issue is that it freezes when I plug it into a docking station. It will play fine when I plug in with a lead, but freezes when I plug in directly. This happens with two different docking stations. I've restored settings and gone through the steps on the web site to no avail. Any ideas or is it just knackered?
silly question

have you installed the software, as it will not be recognised as a stand alone device, altho the PC will recognise a'mass storage device' but by trying to add tunes this way will cause problems

if you have installed the software which version are you using?
