I can't remember the last time I watched a Liverpool game that was exciting ?

Your mind is shut on the subject so I don't know what point there is in highlighting some of the many excellent performances they have put in this year, including 8-0 and 6-0 demolitions of sides in Europe/Premiership.
They ran riot recently against West Ham - in a manner that hardly fits either of your descriptions of them.

There's nothing wrong in anyone commenting that sometimes Liverpool play counter attacking football and sometimes they play a cagier game to get a result - because few would dispute that. However, to generalise about them is just plain wrong. For starters, they have more players in the list of top Premiership goalscorers than Arsenal - only Adebayor features at all in the top dozen scorers. Meanwhile, only Ronaldo has scored more than Torres - and Torres has played far fewer minutes on the park.
The difference between the two sides is not football v anti football it is rather Plan A versus a team with more than just Plan A.
It is Arsenal, not Liverpool, who have drawn four out of their last five games and have struggled when teams shut down Fabregas.
Don't get me wrong, Arsenal are a fantastic team to watch when it all comes together and I personally enjoy watching them and wish them no ill. However, they clearly have great shortcomings in certain areas of their side (see the photo I put up on the gallery of Gary Megson's assessment of them in the Bolton dressingroom last weekend

I think the games will be tighter than a badger's bottom with both sides wary of the consequences of failure. The better tactics will win over the course of the next 8 days. Both teams have very astute and clever managers. It should be a fascinating battle of wits.
If you want to talk about boring, efficient, physical football we should be looking at the other CL game tonight.
Any team with Makalele, Mikel and the likes...
