January 25th: Why is this not a national holiday in Scotland ?

I am a huge fan of Rabbie's..

A day to commemorate a genius, the national bard of Scotland. I can never understand why this day is so downplayed. I also find it hard to understand why there has never been a movie of his incredible life made. He packed a lot into 37 years. Anyone who can write words like the words he wrote for Ae Fond Kiss must have been someone very special. I have have never heard a more beautiful love song in my life. His volume of work is phenomenal.

Come on Eck, a National Holiday please for one of Scotlands greatest sons..
