Kerr joins calls for Hibs board to spend
Hibs' midfielder Brian Kerr has urged the Hibernian Board to spend more cash on players during the transfer window. "A lot of people here can't quite believe that we haven't spent just a wee bit more to bring in some new players," he said.
Kerr, who was brought in by John Collins from Motherwell, started well this season, scoring against Hearts at Tynecastle in the first game of the season. He has been a disappointment to many fans since then but has been publicly defended by both Collins and Tommy Craig.
"We can't expect to get a player like Scott Brown - he left us for £4 million, after all - but new faces bring out the best in everybody and it could spur us on.
"We've used the money from transfers to build a great new training base, but we won't see the benefits of players coming through for a couple of years and we need to keep it up right now."
