It was a hardcore rebel pub on Pearse Street where a doorman/IRA volunteer was shot dead one night. Too much Celtic sh*te on display for my liking, don't think they liked my Hibs jersey either.
Anyway, it's now no more, demolished. No harm..
Mother Redcaps and the Brazen Head (that sounds like a name for a band!
) are two boozers near Christchurch that often throw up a good 'ol session.
